Sorry, I didn't update last night, but we had a special practice, then I went straight over to Gordo's, and I just got in, this morning.

We had called a special practice, for Friday evening, so we could audition this new drummer, Joey. Trey even had to break a date to be there. Sorry, Trey. Forgive me?

So, this guy Joey shows up, and he has to practice on an old set of Brody's, cause, well, cause Ryan took his with him, of course. Guys, he was awesome. The sticks moved so fast, I couldn't follow them. He used every drum in Brody's combo, and he played the snare like a lover. I think everyone was overwhelmed with the speed and power and the versatility that he had. He'd have no problem keeping up with us. Other than Austin, we might have trouble keeping up with him.

Yep. He was an awesome drummer.

For an eleven-year-old.

After the audition, he climbed in his mother's station wagon, buckled up, and his mom took him home. I think he has a nine o'clock curfew on Friday nights.

Everyone was just...speechless.

Trey? Have you forgiven me yet? Please?

There, there.

You really shouldn't be alone tonight.

Hmmmmm.... Just a guess, but I'm thinking Trey's recovered.

I still don't get it. Why can't we use this kid? Come on, we'll work something out with his mom!

Life is cruel. We are never going to find a drummer like this again! Aaargh!

I know that kid. He goes to school with my little sister.
